How are we now here?

Looking back at my very first post and now writing this one makes me feel so many different emotions.  It's hard not to wonder how we are now where we are.  But then I realize the simplicity of the how. G.O.D.  It amazes me how He has always known the length Catalyst Cake Pops would travel.  I have no idea where we will land, but I know the good Lord knows.  I take great comfort in that simple fact.  Starting an official business takes a lot of work (I'm learning this more with each phone call, email, and unexpected license).  I know this is the hard part.  I'm thankful for how I've already grown throughout this process.  I'm being challenged and my patience is being strengthened (a lesson I'm always learning).  If I'm honest, thinking about where we are headed makes my stomach flutter, a knot form in my throat, and my heart pound just a bit faster.  It's exciting, overwhelming, adventurous, concerning, and thrilling.  I told you big things were coming this year.  Little did I know how big the Lord's plans were for Catalyst Cake Pops.  We are official. We are licensed.  We have a commercial kitchen space.  We will be insured.  We are getting ready.  Cake pops are coming.  Get ready!  Here's to 356 and more!

2019 - Here We Come!

The Lord was so good to us during 2018.  Catalyst Cake Pops made AMAZING progress.  Although it is sad to see such a sweet year leave us, it is more exciting to anticipate all that 2019 may bring.  It's only January 5th, and we are already doing things we never would have dreamed of when this idea was born.  For the first time ever, we are shipping our cake pops!  Appleton, Wisconsin here we come!  Gluten-free cake dots are now an option for customers.  We're on the hunt for commercial kitchen space and checking consulting options. We're dreaming big and praying hard.  We're coming for ya, 2019.  Here's to the next 360!

What's Next?

Within the last four months of Catalyst Pops, over $1,200 has been donated to save lives through the gift of water.  It's amazing what God can do in just a short amount of time.  He always goes above and beyond.  I'm so thankful for the support of family, friends, and coworkers.

Since I'm a schoolteacher, I have the summer off which gives me time to dream about the future of Catalyst Pops.  I've got some big ideas and a lot on my heart.  For now, I'm going to keep praying, brainstorming, and seeking out answers.  It's exciting to think about what this mission may look like in the next 365 days.  Stay tuned!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Catalyst Pops is back in full swing.  We have been very busy brainstorming all the ways to make this mission successful.  A lot of new and exciting things are starting to come together.  We can't wait to share everything with you once we feel His call.

I've been off work for several days due to all the snow.  This has given me a great opportunity to be creative.  Today, I went to the store to buy a wide assortment of decorating materials.  I'm about to get messy with sprinkles, fondant, and chocolate!  Hopefully by the end of the night I've got some monsters and Mickeys and grooms.  Off to cake poppin'!

New Beginnings

My, oh my, it has been a very long time.  Recently, I have felt the Lord stirring within my heart.  I'm not exactly sure where He is leading me, but are we ever really sure of His full plan?  That's one of the beautiful mysteries of our God.  Although I'm unaware of all the details, I feel a pull to begin a new season of Catalyst Pops in the near future.  This excites me!

During my morning quiet time a few days back, I read the following, "When (God) gave Noah the task of building the ark, (God) didn't want him to worry about how the animals would get on board.  His job was just to build the ark.  (God's) task was to get them there." How applicable this is to our lives and this mission!  We are just to build.  I am just to build.  God will then act.  He has before, and He will again.  I'm ready to begin laying the foundation.  I know He will bless this endeavor.  Be on the lookout for information regarding a new beginning for Catalyst Pops!

Well, I cannot believe the time has come for me to close Catalyst Pops for its first season.  The Lord has blessed this endeavor more than I could have ever hoped.  I am so thankful to every individual who supported me and this beautiful mission.  My soul rejoices when I reflect on all that has been accomplished.  It overwhelms me to announce that Catalyst Pops will be sending $2,620 to World Help.  The money will be directly used to provide clean water to people all across the globe.  Over 170 lives will be saved through this one mission, this one summer.  How He exceeds our expectations!

I may not be doing a world of good, but I know I am now fully awake.

Dipping and decorating my final summer pop!

I don't even know where to start!  Today, I journeyed to Hawesville, KY to make a Catalyst Pops delivery.  A sweet friend of mine wanted to support my mission by seeking out friends and family to place orders.  At first, I was concerned due to the drive, time, and gas money.  Would enough orders be placed for the trip to even be worth it?  I forgot my God was a big God.  I forgot He likes to surprise His children.  I forgot the power of generosity.  Today, I made a simple three hour road trip to deliver 575 cake pops!  My, how many lives will be saved because of this friend's willingness to be His servant and because of the giving spirits of dozens of strangers.  Through this mission project, people have amazed me.  More than anything, my God has amazed me!
